Sounds like you had a great trip. Hope to make it back up to Ely this winter for some winter fun. If not we will see you in the spring! Thanks for a great time over Labor Day weekend.

Great trip report and pics. Good to see the two of you getting out on trips also.

I would rather be upside down in my canoe than right side up at my desk

Very nice report. Wanted to see some trout pics though... Also, what do you troll with to get down deep for lakers? It wouldn't be a crankbait would it? :)

I think it's great that you get to get away from the business once in awhile. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for all the nice comments. On the trout picture... I knew there was something I missed! In fact I had problems with that pic & forgot to try again. I'll have to try to edit & fix that.

On getting down deep, my favorite lure for lakers are the 30+ Mann's lures, in dark silver body & light silver or white belly and also the blue body & silver/white belly. They work fantastic. We use the "chubby ones" as I call them, not the longer ones.

Nice report Lynn. Big "sigh" at the end of the busy season.

Nice report, guys! Was good to talk to you both after our 3-day trip a couple of weeks after yours. Thanks for the engagement gifts, too! Enjoy the winter up in God's country!

God Bless!
