Entry Point 14 - Little Indian Sioux River North

Little Indian Sioux River (north) entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by La Croix Ranger Station near the city of Ely, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 32 miles. Access is a 40-rod portage heading North from the Echo Trail.

thank you. besides the ely thing it was amazing. they are doing alright (thanks for the concern) one's eye is still swollen shut but nothing permanant so life goes on right...

we are doing the same trip june 6th, only we are going up tp fat lake, which site were you on in east loon the north or south site, which lakes were better fishing, again sorry to hear about your friends

North side my friend. hmm, there is an 8 rod portage...god i need a map, but i believe it is on upper pauness. right at the little rapid there we pulled about 9 fish out in 15 minutes...no exaggeration.


honestly though, shell, loon, pauness all of them had good fishing. park near that 8 rodder though and hopefully they'll bite for you like they did for us.



and OH, minnows, minnows, minnows...leeches did nothing. the minnows were HOT!

Was cool to chat with someone on an i-phone, while they were driving to Ely for a trip, in the middle of the night!
