Entry Point 1 - Trout Lake

Trout Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (25 HP max). This entry point is supported by La Croix Ranger Station near the city of Cook, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 30 miles. Access from LakeVermilion via 60-rod canoe portage or 180-rod portage that allows the use of portage wheels. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Great report, can't wait for my kids to be big enough to go.

Always be the second one in the outhouse, it's going to smell anyway so you might as well have a warm seat.

Nice Job Lisa. I am so proud of you! I like the Woman on a Mission comment...Hell I thought you were all on a Mission :).


Especially like two things, the light sticks (Had a friend that always gave those to my two boys when they were Issac's age and they always looked forward to getting them)
The Other picture that is priceless is Issac in the front of the canoe with his own paddle. That is a keeper of a pic.
Thanks for sharing. oh yea and it does look better than the sandhills of Nebraska LOL

Nola - yep it was chilly and do believe there was shrinkage there lol - hope not tmi for some :)
