Nice report. That's a cool looking 'twisted' tree in that one pic.

Trust, but verify. The Lord will provide !!!!

Nice trip report and great pictures! Hard to believe anyone would want to swim in September - too cold! I was entering the BW at Lake One on Monday, September 6th - it was cold and foggy. Glad you made it out ok!

Thanks, cold water tolerance is a hallmark for me and my buddy. It's truly refreshing to rinse off and swim a bit even if it's cold.

Love the spider web pic at the end. I think you were probably at the same site I camped at in late September 2007... Nice area for short trip off season. Glad no one took the kayak!

I enjoyed the report a lot. I'm glad your wife had a good time and will be going back.

We were up in Quetico during your trip. Your first day was our third day. Man was it rough! We set up camp midday that day because we were more or less rain and windbound. Our rain tarp was also a god send! After you left, really cold and wet weather moved back in, so you timed your trip well even if the first day was tough.

We also swim in September. I agree that it really makes you feel good. But it's more like short dips with vigorous scrubbing with the hands, not a half mile swim. The water was pretty cold this September compared to several others when I've been up there.

Thanks Ho Ho, glad you guys got up north as well. It was really a nice weekend after the rain cleared out. Sometimes you have to put up with the bad to enjoy the wonderful.

I agree, it turned out as best it could have given my wife's injury. The area was quite nice and we had things to do. Our campsite was very beautiful and quite large. We had a ton of firewood and we left some for the next people as well.

7 of 9,

Great Report Love the Pictures you took some really nice onces. I thank you for the pictorgraph ones as always find those interesting.
Sounds like all turned out well, and as always, we learn a lot about ourselves and what we would do different. Glad the Queen B went along. Injured or not sounds like she weathered the trip pretty well.
Thanks for sharing.
