Awesome pics as always. Some particularly nice ones this time of the sled dogs.

Those dogs are amazing. They were definitely the stars of the trip and got extra photographic attention. :-)

Wow, I was blown away by the photos. The lodge you stayed in the first night looks awesome as do the dog action shots. A trip I'd love to try sometime. Great report.

Thanks for another great winter Trip Report Uncle Moose! I really enjoyed it.

The photos of the dogs are especially great. You really captured the dogs zest and power for pulling as they began their trip. The close up photos really show their personality.

That blond lead dog with the wild blue eyes looks intense. He/She must really love to pull that sled.

Great job!

Great photos.

I think you maybe ought to keep the lake a secret. It's pretty easy to tell just about exactly where you guys are and with a depth map I could get even more accurate.

I'm not telling you what you should do, but I tend to keep my hotspots a bit closer to myself.

I'm heading up next week, Gonna get my friend's digi SLR and see if it produces better images than my point and shoot. I'm envious of your image quality!

Thanks for the replies, and fishing points well taken (gbusk and arctic). You weren't supposed to actually read the report that carefully, gbusk. ;-)

It's a great report, I soaked in every word.

My wife and I were wind bound on the eastern end of Clearwater last Aug and I subsequently became very familiar with that end of the lake.

Clearwater is a great lake. I don't think the lake trout fishing is really much of a secret, though we didn't catch any. The steep hill sides and cliff facades make it particularly scenic as well. The only thing I didn't like is we saw motorboats on the lake when I was there over memorial day weekend in 06. Going here in the winter would take care of that.

Great report UncleMoose. Your photography is excellent and the trip report is put together very well. It made for an enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!
