great report! this area is one of a few options for a late sept trip. been on that portage to Adams in the fall and it's very colorful. not good to hear about the bear issues. did you see any bears or sign?

No actual signs/sightings of bear on this trip. Was glad for the friendly info from the groups passing by about the bear trouble on Malberg that week.

Great report Jonsey. Good to hear you had a nice trip after traveling so far. Happy the fender bender was only minor.

Did Adams and Boulder trip 10 years ago and enjoyed the island camp for 4 nites on Adams. We caught Northern not bass. Enjoyed the memories. Consider EP 60--Duncan Lake--for a really pretty Lake with good fishing and very high hills around it plus the falls into rose Lake. the Best.

the greatest come backs are reserved for those with the greatest deficits.

Here I am digging up old trip reports again. We were at Adams lake around the same time this report was. Missed the island site the first night we arrived but it open up the second night and I think we stayed there for 4 nights. Adams is one of my favorite lakes to go to. Heading back up that we in June.
