Entry Point 35 - Isabella Lake

Isabella Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Tofte Ranger Station near the city of Isabella, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 21 miles. Access is a 35-rod portage to Isabella Lake.

Nice report. Did this two years ago with my girls, much the same feeling. Fishing was ok, quite a few folks, and we blew through 1.5 filters in 4 days with our basecamp. By comparison, used same filter on this years trip. Was still running clear and fast on day 4.

Great report and thanks for sharing. Glad you guys had fun. We took our 5 year old daughter there last year in July for her first trip. It's a great intro trip for kiddos. We stayed at the same site as you and loved it. Our daughter swam for hours. We entered on a Mon. so were lucky and didn't see many people. Leeches and a pink jig were the ticket for her with the walleye.
