I thought Vern was sweet little lake also! We were on the SE side of the lake June 9 and 10. We came from Brule Lake down through Juno and looked over your site but passed it up since the sun was brutal and the other one was cooler in the shade and still catching some nice breeze.

We had a choice of traveling up the Vern River to see if we could make it to Weird Lake or go visit the Pipe Lakes. We chose the lakes and had a really pleasant trip. After talking with an outfitter on the way home we learned there was probably enough blowdown on the river to have made it a difficult trip so I'm glad we went where we did.

The days we were on the lake the wind was strong and I wondered how the fishing might have been. Thanks for your report.

sharing my report from this year

I really don't mention Vern Lake until day 7 but thought I'd share. Your report got me remembering my time there so I went back to reread what I had written. From Vern to East Pipe was a gorgeous little area that we traveled early on a Sunday morning. Made for a nice trip. We found out the burn in that area was in 1990. It was nice to see how the area had grown back yet you could still see the remnants of the fire.
