Thanks for the report - weather can be cool, wet and definitely windy in the fall. And the water can be chilly, but probably nowhere near as cold as now. Glad you enjoyed what you did and good luck with weather on the next one.

Your bride holding that fish.....were her hands as badly mangled up as they appeared on the picture.???
Seems like all the trip reports in that time frame are very short and wet...tough spring.
thanks for the report

I long to get back to Cherokee Lake. Love the trip from Sawbill up through there. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate and your trip got shortened up.

I've got a BA pad that I just love for the warmth. Hope I don't have to experience it w/o air! Love the pic with the fish.

Thank you for your story. The last time I was up on Cherokee was about thirty years ago. It was July and it was hot and dry. And we had a great time there was about 17 that went up there and we had a great time. We stayed on the north side great spot other than a bear coming into the camp a couple of times. I planning another trip up there in may this year and looking for any info that might help.

I will get all the rest I need when I am dead.

Jan- You are right, the wife and I still laugh about the trip in and out and I'm sure we will for many years. You can't judge the good trips without a bad one or two for comparison.

Boonie-Yeah the fall can be cool and wet, at least the water is warmer than a few days after ice out.

Kip-you're welcome! She was pretty pumped.

DrBobDg-Just dirty hands, no blood. It was a wet cold one.

Togue-We sure tried. Thanks.

bababear-It was a very nice trip up. Great paddle and the portages were not that bad. I would love to get back up there, with better weather of course.

plimpbob- I hope your trip goes well. I don't have a ton of info but feel free to email me with any questions, or post here, I'll try and help. The one piece of advice I can give is drag a Little Cleo around shore and breaks to pick up trout. Good Luck!

Thanks for reading everyone.

Also, this is a shameful plug from everyone to read my TR:)
