Entry Point 43 - Bower Trout lake

Bower Trout Lake entry point allows overnight paddle only. This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 25 miles. Access is a 72-rod portage from small parking area into Bower Trout. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Crud....... I have to get to work, didn't have time to read it all but I can't wait to finish reading it tonight! That 1 on 1 time in the wilderness with our kids is simply amazing. Each year I take one of our daughter's on a daddy/daughter trip and it's the highlight of the year. My 7 yo gets her 2nd trip in 2 weeks.

That was a sweet report. I am glad that you guys had an excellent time. I would like to try some early or late season trips sometime. I think the weather changes would add to the excitement. Thanks for sharing and happy paddling!!

Really loved the report! I am planning on taking my son on his first trip next year and I just loved seeing your son's smile in your pictures. We were on Ram last weekend and daytripped over to Little Trout. Fun seeing some familiar sights in your pictures! Thanks!
