Entry Point 54 - Seagull Lake

Seagull Lake entry point allows overnight paddle or motor (10 HP (except where paddle only) max). This entry point is supported by Gunflint Ranger Station near the city of Grand Marais, MN. The distance from ranger station to entry point is 50 miles. No motors (use or possession) west of Three Mile Island. Large lake with several campsites. landing at Seagull Lake. This area was affected by blowdown in 1999.

Great trip and route, this was my first trip except I went to Knife by way of Ester and Hanson. If I am not mistaken the spot outside the first campsite on Ottertrack is real close to a nice walleye spot.

My camera is in a sealed waterproof case around my neck, might want to look into that.

I was on Saganaga at the same time. If I am not mistaken the French Canadians that paddled by you came right by us and talked to my grandpa. They are headed for Alaska. Yes you read that correctly.

I hope that is the case. As I was talking to the staff at Seagull Outfitters I thought it would be a great summer job during college.
