Thanks for the nice report and pictures. Glad you enjoyed your trip. I covered some of the same area on my first solo, going up the Steep portage was a real workout.

Yeah, we loved the area. I was actually yelling at the end of that portage, forcing myself through pain. Maybe I'm a baby or I was tired but yikes. Maybe I should have jogged the portage, I read my shoulders will wear out before my legs. Haha, does that work?

Sounds like a nice area. Haven't been as far west as LLC yet. Thanks for sharing.

Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.

Love your report. I want to get to the smaller lakes S of LLC someday-- they intrigue me like no other.
Thanks for sharing.

I have to say now it's one of my favorite areas. No one around once you are off of LLC and there we only saw one group, excluding Canadian motorboats. Although I will say being on a silent lake with your mind starting to wander only to have a float plan buzz over was crumby. Once we were on Eugene we didn't have that problem anymore. The area felt intueging, still a little wild.
