Not sure I'd ever not take a bottom quilt personally. If it looks to be warmer, I'll take a 30 degree. In the unlikely case (this time of year) that's too warm, I'll just loosen the ends to let air move through it. Too small and too light not to pack along in case things get chilly.

I would look at the forecast Sunday. I just set my tarp up in storm mode if I want to retain a little more heat. I have doors on my tarp also.

Those who have just got back, what air temps were you seeing, going in next Tuesday and curious if i should bring my hammock overcover, usually not needed unless in the 30's
