you could go into mudro and head up through fourtown to boot, fairy, gun, gull, thunder, moosecamp area they are all small lakes and pretty good walleye fishing. funny Lake finder says gull doesn't have walleyes but we caught a ton of them right from our camp

If the group is looking for good fishing, Brule has been a very good lake to us over the years.

Camping on Trident, you could day trip to Knife or Ensign which both hold some bigger fish. Trident has only two campsites and a good number of eater size walleyes.

Looking at this picture and then seeing 3ft of snow outside made me cry.

Mudro entry to Boot, Fairy or Gun. Fish Fairy or Gull(north of Gun) for numbers and Boot Lake for big walleyes. Or Thunder if you make it that far for the possibility of both. All these lakes have good campsites so pick a spot and basecamp, or maybe stay at 2 different sites. Distances are not far so you are not looking at any real long days. Beartrap (west of Thunder) also has good walleye fishing and one 5 star campsite if you can get it - have a whole lake to yourselves. There's a loop that includes backtracking to Gun and heading over to Moosecamp (another fine lake with a couple good campsites and good walleye fishing) and down the Moosecamp River for a little adventure. Camp last night on Fourtown or head all the way out. Stop early for campsites, fairly busy area. For a reason.

I remember that rock. We pulled the canoes over it instead of taking the portage.

BTW, not the waterfall in case anyone was wondering.

I'm planning a 4-day trip for four guys who are experienced paddlers/campers. We would like to camp on a smaller lake that has plenty of eater-sized walleyes, but also close enough to take a day trip to a little larger lake that has the potential of catching large walleyes. I would also be okay with 2-3 smallish lakes close to each other that have plenty of eater walleyes. I will only keep enough for a couple lunches and will not keep any large walleyes. I just like to catch them for fun.

We are looking at going the 2nd week of June.

I realize that I'm asking for a lot, but just wanted to see if anyone has made a trip like this and if they have any suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
