What about the south access off Wolf Lake road

Yeah, construction may impact your entry spot. Maybe try and get a tow?

Just talked to DNR, probably on June 15 the VanVac access will be
closed until September
Good luck for any one heading that way for parking and paddling a
few extra miles.

Are you paddling from the public launch on Burnside? We did it last September. On the water about 7-7:30 I think, quick lunch at the site on little crab, made the NE island site on Cummings maye 2-2:30ish. One tandem, one solo, single portaged some, portage and a half on the long ones.
I'll double check my times later in my notebook but I think that's close.

Morning... paddling at 1.5 mph and single portaging... what's a realistic time frame to get to the northeast point of Cummings Lake with entry at Crab Lake on Burntside? Never been in this area before. Thanks.
