06/05/2021 12:41PM Little to no boat traffic. Any boats you might see are usually pontoons from the resort taking a cruise around the lake. |

06/04/2021 10:07PM it IS in the BWCA (north shore is in Ontario). I'd say you are pretty likely to see boats. I camped there a few years ago and there were some boats that appeared to be making the run to LaCroix (day trip?). Also saw a few boats fishing out in the lake. Overall, it's not bad and there are more canoeists than motorboaters, at least when I was there. You could also go up to Little Loon and get away from the boats completely. There's a nice site up on the north end. |

06/04/2021 08:43PM Hi all, This is my first post here. I was wondering if any one knows how much motorboats are used on Loon Lake. I know it's not in the BWCA, but I still am wondering how often motors are used on it, and if it would be a good destination for canoeing. Thanks, and have a great day! |
