" Once you get below the triangle where the North Kawishiwi splits off the amount of traffic usually diminishes. One portage and a longish paddle down the river brings you to a wider spot with an exceptional campsite. Be careful fishing here. in the past our group caught northern pike up to 15 pounds that had teeth marks where a larger northern pike had grabbed them. Some days in this area we saw no other canoes, some times there could be 4 or more. Most of the time it was pretty quiet except the year of the Delta Lake fire where every plane and helicopter fighting that fire passed right over the campsite.

Twenty9inarow	03/21/2025 08:30AM Morning Crew, Looking for any advice on trip planning for EP #30 in early June with four people, for five days. We enjoy fishing, sightseeing, and some adventures. I'm contemplating on starting with the river or numbered lakes? Thoughts?
