I was out on Wood 2 weeks ago and it was good ice until we hit the middle of the lake. We hit 2 patches of ankle-deep slush, the patches lasted for about 100 yards or so. I'm guessing you won't have any issues when you go in.

Looks like the weather will be warming up just in time for our hot tenting camping trip this year. We've got a group of 6 this year and we were kind of hoping to test our limits a little with some of the current cold temps. Oh well, maybe we'll enjoy ourselves a little more with the mild temps.
Does anyone know the current ice conditions on Wood Lake and the surrounding lakes attached? Slush?? Thanks!
I'll be posting a video of the trip when we return.
