Thanks for the report Bob. Looks like a nice area. Your camp site looked quite comfy once you cleaned it up."

Yeah Andy it was a pretty nice site. It was right by the rapids, it was really relaxing to hear the river at bed time.

quote bapabear: "Nice report and some nice fish! I would never have guessed they could "spot" the radiation from an old compass like that! Must have some pretty sensitive equipment to notice it."

Yeah bapabear it was a shock to us also but it is good to know that we have that kind of technology to pick something up that small.

Sounds like a fun trip. My dad caught a 38" pike on our trip a couple weeks ago but we don't haul a scale with us. Guessing it was a couple pounds more since it had some girth compared to the one in your pics. Nicely done!

I like hearing reports of different places. Ontario has done a good job of providing a lot of opportunities. Thanks again.

Yes we were still in Ontario. About 3 1/2 hours west of Thunder Bay. And yes it was kinda thin

Sounds like a good time. That 37 1/2 inch pike must have been aweful skinny, that usually is closer to 17 lbs. I fished a lake called little Brightsand, but that was just north of Lynn Lake Manitoba. Were you in Ontario yet? Thanks for your report.
