Kawishiwashy,
I am not sure you will find a better representation of the symposium than right Here! That link does cover multiples years so go to the bottom for this year's event.

Another good album
Kawishiwashy 11/01/2016 09:28AM
Any pics from the event anyone wants to share for those of us unable to attend?
DanCooke 10/31/2016 09:42PM
A great event as usual. Lots of great people to learn from, and hear the passion in their hearts firsthand.
Soledad 10/31/2016 04:59PM
Was nice to see you again Art, sorry that we didn't more time to chat. :)

Just returned from this years Winter Camping Symposium. They had their largest turnout ever, with 244 people registered

Had a great time, as usual. The weather was great.

Darn, I'll be in D.C.

quote Merlin: "Does Anyone know the cost per person to attend during the day on Saturday?"
In the past when I have attended for the day on Saturday it has still been $30. As mentioned Saturday is the big day with most of the seminars (some of the workshops happen Friday), vendors present, gear swap, keynote speakers, silent auction. If you can only make it for the day it is still well worth the price of admission. I would make an effort to stay until at least dinner time if you are interested in the gear swap. And with the key note speakers, later the musical entertainment and barley pops I'd tell the significant other not to wait up;)

I can't make it this year but hope to someday.

Email Soledad who posted earlier in this topic. He is staff on the Symposium and would know if there is a lesser daily fee. Although I imagine it will still be $30 as that is when most of the classes, seminars and workshops are.

I believe that is the registration fee for the whole weekend, not a daily fee.

I will be a first-timer attending this year!
DanCooke 09/20/2016 07:44PM
I will be able to make it this year. Always a fun Time.
Soledad 09/20/2016 09:37AM
Yeah, just pay when you arrive. Registration is really to help get an idea of how much food Camp Miller will need to have and how many cabins they need to open up.

I am excited to have all of you around. I'll wear my BWCA.com hat though I will be running around like a chicken without a head to put it on. :)

Maybe general admission is taken at the entrance?

"

General Admission is $30. It is listed on this page as General Registration. Registration

I have never attended this event, is there an admission fee for those not planning on staying overnight?
awbrown 09/19/2016 02:38PM

Just a few shots from year's past.

I figured you would be there with your Snowtrekker tent. "

If you come, you can spot me pretty quickly. I'm the guy with the white Snowtrekker Tent. ;)

Seriously, however, I encourage everyone on this board to attend. It may open up a whole new world of adventure for you.

Someone should plan a BWCA.COM get together or event during the symposium.
Minnesotian 09/19/2016 08:14AM

Yep, hopefully I can make it this year.
Jaywalker 09/16/2016 10:04PM
I am hoping to go for my first time.

I'm looking into it. Thanks!

I'll be there. Awesome time!

FYI Matt (Soledad) is humble-he is one of the organizers.

Always excited to have bwca.com folks attend. The boundary waters is such an amazing place in the winter. Getting to visit some of the areas that we have previously traveled to during open water season is really fascinating.

OldFingers57 09/16/2016 07:15AM
Anyone from the Forums going to this? I am looking to go for my first time.
