Just ordered The Adventure Map for WCPP and am going to start planning my trip for the second week of June. Planning on going solo (with my black lab) for 2 weeks. I'm thinking a loop through Mexican Hat-Wrist-Aegean-Paull-Bootjack. Any tips on neat areas to check out along that route? When I'm not paddling I'll be fishing for pike, walleye, and lakers. I'm looking forward to checking out the post-burn area as well.
I don't really have a lot to add that I didn't mention in "Planning Help" except for fishing. Of course, you'll find pike everywhere, but Woodland Caribou is somewhat unique in that lakers and walleye are often separated by the flowage system the lakes are a part of (e.g., river systems). Along your route, you will hit lots of lakes (Mex Hat, Wrist, Aegean, Paull) that will hold lakers. From my experience, the most action I had was on Aegean, but the largest lakers were on Wrist (including a few that broke off quite substantial line). Mex Hat is probably your best bet for walleye (for me one of my best ever walleye fishing days was on Mex Hat).
By all means, if there is something of a specific nature you have questions about, ask away.

"If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs" chances are you missed something. (Inspired by Rudyard Kipling.)
The only other thing I like to do is take some side trips... even if around a corner off main route. Not many people do and there's so much we just paddle by.
