I know there is a beauty to burn areas. At the same time, I am bringing some newcomers to the Q this summer and would like not to be caught surprised by extensive time in burn areas. In 2002, we ended up in the Bird Lake fire burn area and it was challenging . . .

We are looking at going up through N. Bay into Sarah and then west through McIntrye (or Tuck) and Robinson, then down the Horse River, and out at Mudro. Anybody know if there is anything in that area to be aware of? Thanks.

No major burn areas on your planned route. You'll be heading up the Horse River (into the flow) not down.
