I was browsing through reddit.com and stumbled across the info below about Ontario law.

"In 1996 the province of Ontario changed the law to make it legal for men and women to bare their chests in public places such as parks, beaches, etc."

Was a specific statute provided? All I see is that on December 9, 1996 Gwen Jacob was acquitted of indecency under Section 173(1)(a) of the Criminal Code by the Ontario Court of Appeal on the basis that the act of being topless is not in itself a sexual act or indecent. Topfreedom in Canada.

I looked but I didn't find the specific statute for Ontario.

Not sure about what brought up this subject, but I can report along these lines. About 15 years ago I had a crew with two teen boys and two adult men. We were at the end of a portage in the Man Chain with the teen boys griping about the heat and the heavy packs. As we were loading, a crew of 8 young women in their early 20's paddled up with swim suit bottoms, boots, and all topless. They quickly unloaded, flipped the packs and canoes and went off single tripping the portage.
One of the boys said, "Did you see that?" and I replied , "Not a gripe, super efficient crew, and looked like the mosquitos would eat them up!"
The boys did not complain the rest of the trip.

Not as funny as we head there this year with 2 dads and 2 DAUGHTERS! Yikes! Yeah...a lot of the jokes I found funny as a teenage boy aren't nearly as funny now that I have a 12 YO daughter.
