The Great Horned Owl pair is back nesting at Lake Hiawatha in south Minneapolis again. The nest is where Minnehaha Creek flows out of the lake. You can't miss it there are barricades set up to keep the crowds back.
There are owlets in the nest.

They're out of the nest a lot now. Hopping around the branches. -and they're adorable. I'm glad to see that they'll probably be somewhat habituated to humans, and possibly stay local... -The area is a squirrel factory.

You're right about the squirrels, they are all over my block, I once counted 10 just driving down my alley. Lot of rabbits too.
