I'm about to drive up from N Virginia on May 19th for a week solo, but was looking to do another the first half of Sept for 3-8 days. I go back to Afghanistan in December for a while and since I have not been to the bdub or Q in fall was looking to see if there was any interest.

I'll keep an eye on your posts here as well. I never know how my fall work schedule is going to shake out until I'm almost on top of it.

Nothing set in stone but looks like I might try to take a Sept 17-22 trip as a solo since I can't find anyone to go with me. If there is any interest, I might consider doing a joint solo trip. Want to keep my options open in case I decide to go my own way but would be nice to have someone in the area that maybe I could camp with or have a supper with and then go to a separate camp. I will probably fish half the time. Was thinking #37 Kawishiwi Lake or #33 Gabbro Lake. If I could find a really good match, I would consider taking the whole trip together with someone with one canoe.
A little bit about me. I'm 35 years old, from a farm in Nebraska but work in a bank now, like sports, hunting and have done 5 BWCA trips.

prizes-
I'm going in Brant #52 this year, either going 30-35 miles or 75-80, depending on how my recovery and conditioning works out. I have been in #37 several times. I like it - a lot of options, especially if you travel some. I did a long one there last year - see my trip report. You'll also find 1 or 2 others through that entry that will give you some ideas and information, but no help on fishing as I don't.
I'll be in Grand Marais the night before entry, if you're around there then.
Hope you have a nice trip. Maybe see you.

Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.

Boy... I'm dealing with possibly starting cancer treatments about then or earlier... building a house and dealing with neck and head issues. But I may try to at least paddle in a bit with boonie or someone. Just going up the trail for a jaunt is always fun for me. So guys, keep me in mind...
