So I mailed my RABC application and the one for my son(19yo) on the same day...Late April. They were mailed separately due to the amount of paperwork and I thought it would ease confusion.

Anyway I just received my son's permit today 5/22 with a receipt from 5/13. I checked my bank and I still haven't been charged for another(mine). What's my best option at this point? We leave 6/11.

Thanks,

Dave

walleye are biting at home in Illinois but I need my Quetico fix :)

they state it could take 4-6 weeks for processing.
give a call to the office where you sent it, they are pretty good about checking into things.
once i mailed mine and didn't include the credit card info. they called me, long distance!, to get the card, ran it while i was on the phone, and then mailed it out. i had it in a week.

I actually made a mistake on mine and they nicely called me to set it straight. They even said if it did not get here soon, just let them know and they would fax it to me.

Good luck!

I always send in my request in Jan. just in case it takes longer than 6 weeks to get it back. I think it took less than 2 weeks this year. They probably don't have much going on in Jan. so they get to it quicker. Just something to consider next year.

I do it when I get my first reservation of the year, usually mid January, and hound the rest of the group for the next 3 months to get theirs submitted. It's much easier to do it right away.

I had always sent it in early too but with Alex's college schedule and some other issues we might of had to cancel so I waited this year. Thanks again for the info...

On my RABC Application for it reads: "At least 3-4 weeks in advance of your trip, mail the completed application . . . to"

I just called them since mine hasn't shown up yet and I leave in two days. I sent it on 4/24-ish. They simply faxed it to me. I love Canada!

I'm sure it will Mike and thanks...I just got into a little panic mode when I saw that Alex's was processed over a week ago and the other one wasn't even charged to my bank yet.

Or maybe I've been denied??? I don't remember any illegal activity over the last year?! j/k

Give them a call. There is a number on the application. I had to call once and a nice guy answered after a couple rings and looked up my file right there.

Same experience for me a few years ago. They called me and corrected my mistake over the phone. Very easy to deal with. They invited me to call them with any further questions.

With the amount of times you've been through there Dave, I'm sure Janice won't even check yours. :)

lol, I've never had to produce this document.

The RABC arrived Saturday. I never did call. A few more days after my original post I noticed an International charge but it was in Fort Francis and not Thunder Bay where I had sent my paperwork. I'm guessing Thunder Bay was overloaded at this time of year and forwarded some to relieve the load?? Another good reason to send months before and not just a few short weeks at the busy time.

you would need to produce the document to immigration people, not the rangers.. that's not their area of the government, plus they are also too busy selling fishing licenses and reviewing maps with people.

I am sure as you say they have a busy season time period.
