Heading up tomorrow for a night at Crescent and then going in at Hog Creek for 6 days. My theory was that many of the completely reserved permits for the 3-4 days prior to the weekend would be leaving on Monday. Hope I am right an dwe have pick of campsites on memorial Day. But if that is the case then we will encounter a lot of people on the paddle in to Perent. So, just how narrow and twisty is Hog Creek? if we were to encounter numerous canoes along the way but heading the other direction, is it going to be tight to pass each other, impossible, or not that narrow? Im sure it varies some, how about the narrowest sections?

Clouds, rain and high of 51 Monday and Tuesday, oh boy.

This is a typical section of the creek. The creek has lots of twists and turns........ lots and they do get old after awhile. The scenery is basic moose brush all the way.

Narrowest sections would still allow passing traffic. Maybe a brief stop and wait at some bends. Have fun and watch your step on those slippery beaver dams.

No problem meeting and passing canoes, you can generally hear them coming ahead of seeing them. Just pay attention to the current and wind when coming to a bend in the creek. Have a nice leisurely paddle.
