Where are the pictos on Quetico Lake? I think they are on a south facing rock wall between campsites 48 and 4X? Last time my crew was there we looked farther north through the narrows on a rock wall between the two portages into Cirrus. Caught fish there, but no drawings.
August trip coming soon.

I believe one set is between the camps you mentioned, two sets are to the east of both camps & another set west of both. All are along the north shoreline of that arm of the lake.

Between 48 and 4X, you will find the following picto's ... not so much of a collection as an occasional sprinkling.

Along this stretch, there are also a few less distinct "smudges" which are faded out pictos.

Further east along the north shore, there are a couple of really nice pictos. I only assume these where done sometime later because they are much more vivid. The first you'll come to has been labeled an otter ... I guess, if you use your imagination. It is unusual because it is quite large for a single image.

Then adjacent to it (to the right) is this image.

Then the best for last ... A complete panel of quite a number of images. Impressive! This one is EAST of 4X and nearly opposite the island campsite 71.

So, the pattern looks like this:
