My grill and my smoker both decided that they'd begin going south at the same time, so I decided to by a Akorn Kamado Grill to replace both of them. Linky

What a great piece of equipment. I've got less than $250 in it and I'm cranking out some good grub. I've cooked on a buddy's big green egg and this a grand cheaper for the same results.

I've seen it referred to as a fatty, bacon explosion or heart stopper. It's ground meat, with a filling in the middle that's wrapped in bacon. The combinations are endless. That one is a mix of ground beef and hot italian sausage, stuffed with a mixture of sauteed onion-garlic-mushroom, provolone cheese and pizza sauce.

When we car camp, I do a breakfast version that's sage sausage stuffed with onions, peppers, eggs and cheddar. Scramble the eggs just enough so they're still a little runny, but won't pour out of the ends.

Oh man! I would eat that once. Probably have a grabber if I did it more than one time. Great idea and pix.

I'm sure it's good, but my cardiologist would kill me . . . if that didn't do it first! :)

It's the big one. I'm comin' Elizabeth.

I'm sure you could do it with ground turkey, use low fat cheese and wrap it in turkey bacon. I don't know why someone would, but I'm saying you could.

The saga continues with our Thanksgiving turkey.
