I glanced out the window yesterday morning and saw a little white-headed bird hopping around on the ground, under the bird feeder. I decided it was behaving like a dark-eyed junco even before I noticed that it was surrounded by normal juncos. The black head had been replaced by snow-white coloration. Everywhere it went, my eye followed while the other birds disappeared into the leaf clutter. I have seen "white" blackbirds before but this was new to me. I'll remember the camera next time.
The business of life is the acquisition of memories. In the end that's all there is. ___Mr Carson (Downton Abby)
