I recently bought a pair from another member here. Apparently the wrong size, but they fit me fine! They have double fabric at the knees and on the butt, nice touch. The legs seem to be "formed" with a little bend at the knee built in. They are comfortable sitting and walking.
I have used cheap nylon zip off pants for my last three trips, and they dry very quickly, but feel clammy when sweating, and offer little insulating value. I have used the Piragis pants about 5 times paddling for exercise this year, and they have a much nicer feel than the nylon. They also are much warmer. They are a cotton blend, not sure what percentage though. They seem to dry relatively quickly, but I haven't been knee deep wet footing, or caught in a rainstorm to get them soaked. I am also curious if they might be too hot in the summer, but mine have the zip off legs.
I plan to take these and a pair of the nylon this June to WCPP to have options. I'm not sure if this helps or not, but it is all I can tell you now.

I have several pairs of them. The ones I bought when they first offered them for sale seem to hold up much better the the ones I have bought the last couple of years. They are extremely comfortable .

They look really nice. I wish they came in women's sizes.

I have a pair. Great canoe pants, I wear them all the time until my wife complains. They’ve held up as well as any pants I’ve ever owned.

I like mine. I tend to use them hiking and backpacking more than canoeing but very comfortable for all.

Bought some on sale 3, 4 years ago? I used them all the time in cool weather and love them. They're holding up very well with the double knees. My wife "Modified" mine for me by sewing elastic in the cuffs so I can pull them up and down to keep them dry because they are slower to dry than some others I've used. I balked at the price, but they're well worth it as I figure they'll give me 5+ years?

I purchased a pair 34 w x 30 L several years ago. Love 'em! Still have that pair and it's in great shape. I ordered a 2nd pair two years ago and was disappointed as they were too loose compared to the previous pair. Elastic waist was not the same. A good quality but way too loose at waist and excess at hips/seat. I emailed them and received no response. I don't know why they messed with the fit. I will not be ordering another pair.
I wore the one pair in late June and wasn't hot in them. I was soaked with sweat at end of a portage but from physical exertion; not from pants being too hot for the season.

They are great pants. The double material in knee isn't in the fight place for me so I blow them out right above that. And if they are getting worn I'd replace before any extended trips as they will fail. But all in all I like them a lot. I think the zip offs are better made then the non.

These pants are not in-expensive which can be justified by their sturdiness and quality of materials. I ordered and received a pair and they indeed appeared to be well made. I tried them on and they fit comfortably around my waist so I sent them through a wash cycle after which they still fit nicely, showing no shrinkage. I then set them aside for my upcoming canoe trip eager to wear them on the trail.

HOWEVER, once I got out on my trip and actually started walking in these pants, I soon realized that the upper seam for the knee re-enforcement fell right across my kneecap and rubbed on my knees. Every. Single. Step.

Mid-trip I tried giving the irritated skin on my knees some relief by putting a piece of duct tape over the inside of the seam, but this only helped some. The tape had a tendency to peel away at the edges thereby snagging my leg hair with duct tape glue. If the seam had been just an inch or two higher the pants would have worked for me just fine.

Hiking the pants up higher does not solve this because then the pants no longer sit comfortably on my waist. After just one trip they are now waiting to be donated to Goodwill. Disappointing!!

Mine rotted out after about 4 seasons. Material just didn't seem very durable. I bought them during a half-price sale from Piragis.

I have several pair purchased only during sales, otherwise they are too pricey for me. I prefer and have used for the past 15 yrs or so military surplus fatigue pants. They are inexpensive, widely available, hold up well and dry reasonably fast in the 50/50 fabric. The most I ever paid for a pr was about $24 the least was $10.

I have the mid weight ones. I like them. Well made, and comfortable. My only complaint is they're a bit baggy for me. They run long

Great pants! Wait for sale. I have three pairs. I was able to get a pair of the green/olive ones when they were available. They are better for warmer months. They dry quickly went wet. I'll buy them again.

Yes. I have both styles. The lighter material pants are great summer pants. I usually by them in the late winter/early spring when they are on sale

UPDATE: Piragis has offered a no-cost exchange of the pair I've worn on that trip for a pair of the new design with the double-patch seam now higher above your knee. Nice customer service!

Best pants ever. My wife probably won’t agree. Bought them on sale, that helped
