Here is another video we just put out discussing the some of the main differences between Woodland Caribou and other popular paddling areas.

For those that are interested in learning more about Woodland Caribou, please feel free to ask questions, we plan on creating videos to discuss everything folks want to know. This is going to be a fun project!

Great info in the videos Harlan. By the way folks, he is not kidding about the bugs being a non-issue compared to other paddling destinations.

Ya, it's looking like a regular ice out at the moment...likely mid May. The next few weeks will tell all!

My wife is really looking forward to June 15th, (when I leave for Red Lake), so she won't have to listen to me talk about the trip anymore! I am excited to experience the area, and curious how different it will be from Quetico and the BWCA.

Is it June yet?

Yes, last trip we had zero bugs of any kind. Maybe had something to do with the continuous forty mile an hour winds off the prairie?
