One spot got clobbered last summer... Any suggestions?



My SR Fiberglass canoe I can just repaint it... Can I do the same with Wenonah? This is an 18' sundowner canoe

I'd fill it first. I'd used Plummer epoxy from the hardware store. It's putty. Smear it in and smooth it. Let it set. Then paint.

You should be able to get a gel coat repair kit from Wenonah. Gouge out all the loose flecks you can, and spread it on to cure. It won’t be perfect, but it should get the job done. I’ve done quite a few similar repairs using clear epoxy on a clear gel-coat. It worked great as well. Perfection will be very difficult, but adequate will be pretty easy.
