I am considering a day trip where I start at at Entry Point 31, through Farm Lake, then the long portage to Clear Lake, portage into lake South East of Clear (not sure its name), take that southwest, portage into Eskwagama, portage back into Clear, and then back to the car. Is this doable in one day or would it be just a grind? If not, looking for other daytrip ideas south of Ely in the Farm/Garden area. We typically go North of Ely, but looking for something new.

Here's our trip to that area a couple years back.

Easily done in a day. I put in at Little Gabbro and took out at 31, fishing along the way, in an afternoon solo once. If you can get a tow across Farm Lake or have access to a boat you can leave at the actual EP at the east end of Farm you'll save yourself an hour or two.
