Hello all... My awesome wife just booked a cabin for four nights on Burntside. One of my bucket list trips to fish for smallmouth and live like Grizzly Adams!

We're coming from the Black Hills, a long way to tow my bass boat. Should I plan to tow the boat or simplify and rent when I get there? My hope is smallie fish my butt off and have a day or two of the 'real' experience up there by doing a canoe day or two. Worth towing the boat or rent and simplify?

Thanks... ;)

I would just rent a boat for a few days. Wear and tear towing that far I would not want. Tires, axle bearings, tarp flapping in the wind, extra fuel, etc.

That day brings back fond memories. I had a 100 day Smallmouth Bass catch day on Clearwater lake on the 4th of July. Have fun.
