My 4th BWCA trip. Starting at Round Lake. Never been to this area. Trip will be about 33 miles. Planning on 10 miles per day, double portaging, which should put us on Sea Gull the first night, then Gabimichigami the second night, Tuscarora the third night and then a short 3 miles back to Round Lake on the final day.
Going with my son and a friend. Last year the three of us a loop from Sawbill. We stayed on Wine the first night, Trail the second night, Polly the third night and then made it from Polly back to Sawbill in one long 12 hour day on our fourth day.
So I think I've planned a do-able trip but I chose this area due to the fact that I can shorten it if need be.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be welcome.
