Would anyone happen to have a link to a green zone map for Crown Land in the Red Lake area? I am looking at a couple of routes that would take me outside the park boundaries and would like to know what my camping options might be.

Thanks,
Don

I was just up there last week, and spoke to Harlan about the Green Zone. Basically, he stated that he has tried to get an exception for his customers, to open more routes, and it isn't going to happen.
But to answer your question, canoeing.com has a downloadable PDF that has a map showing the Green Zone around red lake. You can find it with a Google search of "crown land green zone red lake"
Hope it helps, it was printed around 2007.

Many thanks. Looks like camping in/around Onnie is a no go, but the Chukuni River option is open once you get past Rathouse. Hard to believe there has not been an update for over 10 years.

The Ontario Parks office located in Red Lake is a good source of information and reference materials with regards to canoe camping in and out of parks. We can shed some light on the Restricted Green Zones. Woodland.caribou.mnr@ontario.ca.
