Hi: Thinking of picking up a MSR Trailshot, wondering if the hose is long enough to pump from a canoe?
Thanks!!

Food grade silicone hose is cheap and easily found. Get enough and set it up as a gravity filter also.

Barely.....maybe in a solo boat, midship, you could set the bottle on floor of boat, but we couldn't from the bow station. My daughter had to squeeze with one hand and hold bottle up near rails with the other. Longer hose would be nice.

As equipped from MSR it would be terrible and you'd curse the designers. Butthead is right though, hose is cheap.

I buy hose on Ebay

Here I'm about to use a Trailshot with a 4 foot hose replacement. A hung in my garrage as gravity set.

It was made by a friend, adapted with fittings by me.
