I'm going on my first BWCA trip with my father and a few in-laws starting 7/29 at EP 16 and we plan to make our way to GB through oyster and come back around through LLC. I understand this isn't typically the time of year fish just jump in the canoe but would appreciate any/all insight. Current plan is to primarily slip-bobber and jig for walleye though we may try drifting harnesses with leeches, cast spoons for pike, and maybe on oyster try some big jigs deep for lakers. Does anybody have any experience on these lakes they'd care to share or any recent fishing reports just for the area? TIA!

I am going in 8/2 and setting up shop for ten days on Oyster. The plan is to target lakers and Bass on Oyster and pop down to Agnes to do a little walleye fishing. We are going to be taking day trips, so we may try other lakes nearby.
If you head out before we head in, let me know how the fishing is this year! Good luck!

Just got out of the area Sunday finishing up a detailed trip report with all fishing info in it. In short had really good quality not quantity. walleye were hard to find. Pike were huge to include a 37" and a 40". Bring baits to troll and that dive deeper. Only caught two fish in oyster, one LT and 1 pike. LLC was the best all around fishing. Any specific questions feel free to ask. Surface Water temps were 77 to 78 degrees.
