Looking for advice. I noticed a little bubbling in my 16 year old Kevlar canoe, in the bow where the foam is. Anyone know what is causing this, and do I need to do something about it? Any advice appreciated.

I have same. Iirc Wayne at Souris River said it was from sitting on end to stabilize while other person enters or exits. Common on outfitter canoes, which mine is.

I bought a couple of pre cut pieces of kevlar from SR. Plan is to cut/scrape/sand off bubbled face of float tank, fill in around foan with caulk so that piece of foam can no longer shift at all, and apply kevlar with fiberglass resin.

Wayne can probably explain this better. I plan to call him shortly before doing the repair.

Thanks, that is a good idea.
