I will be new to lake trout waters Long Island, Cherokee, etc in a couple of weeks. Sounds like trout and northern pike are native there but not walleye and smallmouth. In my research I'm finding out that walleyes are not native to some of those waters. If anyone can share some insight or a short side trip from there for a little shore lunch of walleye, I will appreciate it. Looks like Temperance might be kind of close. Thanks

I've never fished Rib lake, due North from the West end of Long Island, but the next portage N of Rib puts you into Cross bay lake which definitely has walleye/smallmouth.....

Thanks, we are entering through there so we will check it out. Most of the time we will be south of there, but passing through.

Yes, passing through Ham, but spending the majority of the time south of there, so probably will look into some options that way as well. Thanks for the info.
