I'll be on Basswood for the first time in exactly one week, so excited. I'm trying to get my tackle organized but have no idea what the water color/quality of the lake is. Is it stained, clear or something in between? Are natrual colors better, or does something like firetiger shine?

Mostly lightly stained, but it can vary according to which part (bay) you are on.

Perch colors have done well for me on that body of water.
Enjoy

i would say water somewhere in between. firetiger has been most productive on basswood for me, but of course that is what I've used most also.

It's got a light stain to it for the most part.

I have done well on rapala gold/black, original silver, and firetiger. Firetiger was for topwater and husky jerks specifically. For the most part I have had better luck with natural colors.
