In case you have not noticed a Lindal to propane adapter is now made.
this can lead to all sorts of stove to tank combinations.
that Orange Box mini burner will really roar but keep it turned
down so it won't melt!

that photo was right when I loaded it!!

The propane has a pressure up to 10 times the butanebox, so yes! be careful.

You have some nice stoves in you "collection" did I see a SIGG tourist? and a Optimus Loke?

Great collection, and more order than What I have!
I'm also on CCS :-) but I have not been very active the last years.
I joined here because of a stove thread many years ago.

No intention of breaking into this but I have something for dsk if he want's it.
A Coleman Apex 2
Knowing his preferred stove this came to me in a bunch of other stuff so I set it aside. My email is in my profile if interested.

Thank you !
By my opinion, Coleman has never made a stove who works better than the Apex ii!

Welcome dsk!
Back on topic I have the same small black canister top burner and yes Dave carefull with it's temps on propane. It seems like the knurled valve thread mounting is a hard plastic or bakelite as well as the air mix tube.
Pressurized white gas, canister isobutane, and propane can all be used in jetted stove without changing jets. Air fuel ratio may not be optimal but will be close enough. I have no photos of the contraption but have run canisters on several MSR pressurized white gas burners.
What I find and describe as a hobby is playing with and modifying camp stoves, not so much as collecting. But I do have a bunch!

Love my Apex ll! If I had to cut back on stoves the Apex ll would be one of the last to go!
Interested in the aluminum coffee pot with the heat retaining bottom. Who made it? Where'd you find it?

I know little about stoves, does this mean anything to me if i own an old camping GAZ stove that used the little blue canisters that do not exits in the states any longer? I now own a windpro, but if i had a way to use the GAZ stove it would be a good backup.

I think a different burner that uses the same lindal valve canister (standard canisters sold in North America, as the WindPro is a better option. I own and used the Alocs G22 often, very similar to Windpro but slightly smaller.

Pierceable Butane canisters are not easy to refill, some hobbyists has soldered a Lindahl valve in the bottom, and fills it up from other canisters, but I can not recommend this.
