I am bringing half a group of first timers up to Quetico early June and going make a short loop into Agnes with a first night stay close to Lousia Falls. Never stayed on the south end and was wondering if anyone has some insight to sites for 3 tents after the first travel day from Praire Portage

1EA on Agnes and just north of Louisa Falls - big, grassy, and popular with Scouts.

1E2 is on west shore about a half mile north. Big, level, sandy beach, but protected from wind so can be very buggy till late season.

Lots of sites.

I was on a trip last year where we wanted to stay around this area the first night. We didn't want to stay at the site by the falls and 1E2 was taken. The next good looking site that could accommodate three tents was about two miles north, 1FD. We still easily made it there by mid-afternoon. How far up Agnes are you going?

weather permitting, going up to another site just NW of Agnes Lake close to a pictograph site about 13 mi north for the 2nd night. Most likely head back through Shade upon return.
