Slush on many areas of Burntside, and probably worse after our last wet snowfall. I would not take a vehicle on the ice, only an ATV with tracks, or a snowmobile.
Haven't heard anything about Snowbank.
I assume your coming up for Trout fishing?

Yes , Trout is the main chase, maybe some sunrise, and sunset Walleye action also....

Fished Burntside one day, caught a few Walleyes in 16 feet on slip bobber rigs in late afternoon. The next day I fell on the ice in town, didn’t get to fish again ! I was sure I broke a rib, I had the wind knocked out of me. Haven’t had that happen since high school . Needless to say I spent the next few days inside my buddies cabin on his couch trying to get enough energy to make the ride back to Illinois. I didn’t go to the Doc up there, but I did when I got home. X -rays showed no broken or fractured ribs, but I had some swelling in the area. Healing slowly, still can’t cough without intense pain on my right side. To top it off , I had a colonoscopy done the day after my x-rays . It was my own fault, I had cleats I could of put on my mucklucks, but I thought I won’t need them, boy was I wrong !!!

I feel your pain Wallee. I broke 2 ribs on ragbrai this past July. Some clown passed a group of us on the right. As I was turning right. I took a swing at the guy when he started laughing. The paramedics had to hold me back. Broke 2 more ribs in November when I slipped on the deck of my camper and landed on a chair.. that one was my fault.....no fun sleeping with broken ribs.....
