After many years the little nub on the horizontal piece that the blade also sits in when collapsed was worn to a "nub" and no longer did its job. For about $2 I repaired it and looks like should do the trick. Drilled a 3/16" hole for a clevis pin of the same size through the handle and the horizontal piece to hold it in place. For storage when collapsed drilled a 1/4" hole in the bottom of the handle. Think I will also paint the pieces a bright color for when I inevitably drop them and carry a spares but seems like it did the trick.

Looks like it will hold. Here’s a look at my Sven saw that was only used on 1 trip. Couldn’t tighten the wing nut tight enough to make the blade super tight, bent the frame as a result. No abuse, just regular use on 8” cedar. I actually just grabbed it from the garage to see if I can get any relief from Sven customer service. Good idea carrying spare parts, I had an extra nut and bolt plus an extra wing nut, better idea you had is painting them a bright color.

Just made my own nub after the original one wore down. Installed a small sheet metal screw and filed it down. Works great
