Has anyone else climbed into the pine trees on hot days to help escape the worst of heat on hot days? We think it helps because of the breezes which are in the pines.. Even on calm days, we use this tactic and it helps. It is not necessary to get real high in the tree. My traveling buddy's grand dad passed the info down to him and we get relief that way.
"There is always a breeze in the pines"
the greatest come backs are reserved for those with the greatest deficits.
I assume the idea of the pines always having a breeze simply relates to gaining elevation often times allows you to catch a breeze. Pines are probably just the easiest option for climbing in most locations and tend to offer good shade.
Personally I've never climbed a tree of any kind hoping to catch a breeze. Sitting in the shade or jumping in the lake does just fine for me.
