Hello all,

Any car camping locations with drive to, snowshoe/ski to locations for some trout fishing? I have a friend that I want to get out winter camping. He's more of a hotel/cabin guy so not sure he's up for a pull to a BWCA campsite. I'm hoping car camping would be a happy medium. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can usually get a cabin for a really good rate in March. Why not get a cabin up the Gunflint Trail and take day trips? Gunflint Pines Resort, Hungry Jack Lodge, and Trail Center are all places I’ve stayed in March.

I think one of the issues with car camping is the campgrounds may not be plowed out. There are entry lakes with trout where you wouldn't have to walk far to find a place to camp.
