It was from 2016 if you didn't see that part. ;-) I had mostly written it shortly after but finally got around to editing it and getting pictures together recently.
It was a fantastic trip though. Ideally we would have had 4 nights, although it wouldn't have been so bad if we didn't go to South Temperance and then back to North.
How many nights are you planning?

Enjoyed the report. I love Cherokee and have done the loop 3 times. Back then the Ada-Skoop portage was a paddle thru most of the way. I hope those beavers get industrious someday and make it easier again. Counterclockwise loop from Sawbill was the best routing, I agree. The Brunt-Kelly portage is the one that weaned me from overpacking ever again as I worked up quite a thirst after double portages. Fond memories.

boonie: "Thanks for the warning on Burnt-Kelly. I've lightened up considerably over the years as I have tended to pay more attention to where I wanted to go than the portages, but I'm not as young as I used to be. "
Boonie, don't know how far you'll travel on 1st day out of Baker EP but if you end up at site 904 on North Temperance Lake you'll want a piece of tarp (tyvek?) to hang in front of the bivy. It's in plain sight of the firegrate area (no undergrowth). A few small trees at bivy strong enough to secure a tarp. Have a memorable trip.
