My doggo, Booker, passed away last November. We are not planning to get another dog, so I'm looking for someone to take over as moderator of this forum. Also I'm hardly here anymore.

There really isn't anything to do as moderator, but I think each special group needs one. I'm not sure how to change moderators but I know it can be done; I will email the website to find out, after I know who wants to do it.

I'm very sorry to learn of your loss of Booker. We all hate to think about it, yet we all know when we bring a puppy home that there will be a dark day in the future. My sympathies to you and your family, thank you for getting this sub-forum going and watching after it for so long.

He was 11 3/4 and he had intestinal tumors. We got him when he was 5, so if you remember when we got him, maybe you were thinking he was younger.

He seemed totally fine, and then one day getting out of the car he collapsed. Intestines totally blocked by a tumor that grew around the intestine. I don't get how he ate and drank and pooped just fine up until that day, but that's how it went. We opted not to do surgery; life expectancy for his breed is 10-13 years.
